When to use micellar water
- As a first step to remove makeup before your face wash.
- For a quick refresh when you can't get to a sink.
Options we stock: Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water (125ml) and Garnier Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water.
When to use a face wash
- Morning and night, and after sweating — the times the AAD recommends washing your face.
- If your skin is oily: the AAD suggests a gentle, foaming face wash, such as Garnier Light Complete Face Wash.
Using both: a simple evening cleanse
- Wipe off makeup and sunscreen with micellar water on a cotton pad — gently, without rubbing hard.
- Wash with a gentle face wash using your fingertips.
- Rinse, pat dry, then moisturise.
How dermatologists say to wash your face
- Be gentle — scrubbing irritates skin and can make conditions like acne worse.
- Use products that match your skin's needs (oily, dry, sensitive).
- Don't wash more than needed: up to twice a day and after sweating.
